Design-Driven Holiday Haul: How to Make Your Workspace Feel Festive (for Under $500)
The holidays in the office should feel warm, welcoming, and connected. They shouldn’t feel expensive or overdone. Led by our Infinity Group Design team, our teams in both Hartford and Austin challenged ourselves to create a design-driven holiday look in each studio using simple materials, on-brand colors, and thoughtful styling. The result? Two beautifully festive studios transformed in one morning and for under $500.
Watch the video of our Design-Driven Holiday Haul here.
And now, we’re sharing exactly how we did it so you can, too. Consider it our holiday gift to you: no-cost design direction from the Infinity Group team.
Why Holiday Décor Matters (Especially at Work)
The holidays have a way of bringing people closer. A little bit of intentional décor can signal belonging, an immediate you’re welcome here the moment someone walks in the door. Whether you’re creating corporate workspaces, behavioral health centers, or anything in between, design is about how a space feels, not just how it looks.
As Lea, one of our Architecture & Engineering Project Managers, shared in our video about this project:
“Good designers, especially for the holidays, try to embody a sense of home and place and coziness.”
During this season, that sense of home becomes even more meaningful.
The Look: Classic, Cozy, and On-Brand
Ralph Lauren-inspired holiday style is trending this year. Think layered textures, navy tones, warm lighting, winter greenery, and nods to heritage materials. We adapted this aesthetic to reflect our brand palette: navy as the base, with subtle accents of our secondary brand colors turquoise and golden yellow.
The key is subtlety: the décor should support your brand identity, not shout it.
How to Bring Your Brand into Your Holiday Décor:
- Start with your primary brand color. Use it in ribbons, ornaments, or throw blankets.
- Add one or two secondary colors sparingly for contrast.
- Choose natural textures (wood, plaid fabric, greenery) to avoid feeling “theme-y.”
- Opt for warm, soft light—think string lights instead of bright LEDs.
And yes—we still decorated our iconic Infinity Group ladder with lights. Some traditions stay.
The Process: One Morning, One Cohesive Look
Across two studios, we followed the same approach:
- Music on. (It matters. Set a vibe.)
- Unpack materials and group by zone (entry, café area, conference rooms, reception).
- Layer in color through small touches like bows, vases, and textiles.
- Use greenery strategically to warm up corners and soften edges.
- Finish with soft lighting to tie the whole environment together.
If you have multiple offices or locations, like many of our corporate and behavioral health clients do, a shared vision is key. A simple mood board and short call between team members can create consistency across spaces.
