You’ll be seeing this color everywhere this spring
In most of the country spring is picking up momentum. That has us daydreaming about boundless possibilities to get outside and surround ourselves with nature and color. And this spring when it comes to color, we’ve got our eye on Pantone’s Very Peri in particular.
“I love it, and the applications for the modern, post-pandemic spaces we’re creating are endless,” said Laura Tremko, Infinity Group Director of Design.
We will share more on how to incorporate a hip, majestic purple into your new space in moment. But first, why do shades of purple seem so energetic?
Purple is power.
“Today, science has revealed much more about purple than our ancestors ever realized: Purple is the most powerful visible wavelength of electromagnetic energy. It’s just a few steps away from x-rays and gamma rays,” according to a purple explanation on colormatters.com
Very Peri is actually the cool, calm, collected, and optimistic light purple named Pantone Color of the year.
“Displaying a carefree confidence and a daring curiosity that animates our creative spirit, inquisitive and intriguing PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri helps us to embrace this altered landscape of possibilities, opening us up to a new vision as we rewrite our lives,” according to a release from Pantone.
It’s fascinating and familiar at the same time.
“Purple is also a comfortable return to nostalgic springtime tones from our past. Think pansies, dyed Easter eggs, and blooming hyacinths,” said Tremko.
“Purple in your brand colors, even it’s a complimentary tone, communicates strength and sophistication,” said Peter Schaller, Infinity Group Director of Marketing and Culture.
Purple is trending.
“A client we’re working with right now has a much deeper purple in their brand colors. Also, their standards recommend using medium Cherry wood doors. With that in mind, we are bringing it all together by using grey carpeting that includes some warm and cool grey threads as well as dark grey threads. For the paint, we are going with white, grey and purple pops. All of it together will be a modern twist on a classic finish palette, said Tremko.
Here are some other recent Infinity Group projects where our designers have woven in purple.
